This was an entry to "The FanArt Exchange: Halloween Special", an event in the Pangya forums held by Nitehare. The Request i received was from Kyrakuu, who'se request was to draw Arin as one of the Luki or Noki twins.. though when i had a look at the oiginal twins i thought to myself doing just one of the two would be missing something lol so i did both of the twins lol
at first i wanted to do a CG however with our limited computer strength, the file became corrupted upon saving and i wasn't able to open it again, so i went to do a painting instead... however the painting got horrendously "weathered" before i got to scan it, so i patched up all of the damages in the computer, but since i was doing that i ended up refining the edges too... so this has become a mixed media (though DA don't have a mixed media fan art category), somewhat refined like CGs that didn't require all those layers a CG normally require, layers that our computers couldn't handle right now lol, unfortunately i ran out of time cos i wanted to do a complete overhaul of the background too lol, wanted to completely replace the background with a fresh and proper painting of deep inferno. the background here is the original, based on lost seaway, though its poorly refined because it was painted freehand (didn't pencil out anything lol)
still i think this turned out quite well... i hadn't planned to upload it here cos i do not like the dogs manga at all haha, .. though after repairing and touching up the painting i happen to quite like the way it turned out, so i decided i might as well put it up here
even though this was for halloween, i didn't know how to draw something scary that looked like Arin... Arin's usual poise is just opposite of scary (with exception to her chest size which freaks me out cold lol)... i preserved Arins sweetness and added her birds to make them recognisable as Arins xD
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
